General Words of Wisdom
Here are our general words of wisdom, please educate yourself on how to respect the world you are exploring.
LEAVE NO TRACE
Practicing the Leave No Trace principles is important. It shows respect for the area you are spending time in, and it also allows for the next person to enjoy the area as well. If possible, you should leave somewhere in a better condition than when you arrived. The National Park Service is an excellent resource for outlining these principles.
CRYPTOBIOTIC CRUST
Another unique consideration is cryptobiotic crust. It is a living and crucial part of the ecosystem, taking years to grow and just one footstep to destroy. Even if it appears you are stepping in sand, you may be stepping on newly developing crust. Stay on the trail, or if you must deviate from it, attempt to step onto rocks, slick rock, wood, or other solid known surface.

LAST, BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, TAKE CARE
Know your ability. Read reviews. Be aware that elevation considerations, heat, exposure to the elements, and limited water availability are all considerations and potential impacts to your physical stamina.
