Description
Cascade Falls will give you a short and sweet taste of the colors and rock texture and formations of nearby Cedar Breaks National Monument. Orange rock all around, dramatic vistas the whole way, and the smell of Ponderosa pines. If you haven’t smelled one, now is your chance to stick your nose in the bark and smell vanilla.
The trail runs along the edge of the mountain, ending at an overlook platform where you can view Cascade Falls. You will be treated to one of my favorite noises of nature, the powerful sound of a waterfall and the fast flowing water as it runs down the mountain.
We have done this hike twice now. Note in the ‘More Photos’ the difference in water flow. The first picture of the actual falls is from September 2024. The last two photos were from July 2023, when we had a much more grand showing of the falls.
