Munds Wagon, Cow Pies, Hangover Loop
Description
Munds Wagon, Cow Pies, Hangover Loop was recommended to us by a Sedona local while on another hike. This hike has it all, forest walking, red rock hiking, small water features, and geology viewing galore! As you gain elevation, you pass by humongous cacti and agave varieties. You emerge onto the flat with the ‘cow pies’, a smattering of dark colored rocks. You continue on and are able to walk right next to and along spectacular mesa formations. You are treated to a vista of the Sedona area and eventually complete a steep descent, allowing you to view an arch. As you traverse these plateaus and obstacles, remember this is also a mountain biking trail. It will boggle your mind that people are skilled enough to execute this trail on their bike. The first thing you will do after you are done with the hike will be to look up YouTube videos on people actually biking this trail!
